HiM vs him

Hosea 2: 16 – 19
16 “And in that day, declares the Lord, you will call me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer will you call me ‘My Baal.’ 17 For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they shall be remembered by name no more. 18 And I will make for them a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the creeping things of the ground. And I will abolish[f] the bow, the sword, and war from the land, and I will make you lie down in safety. 19 And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy. 20 I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the Lord.

He spoke to my heart and soul, He reminded me that He knows me like no other can, has or will: my faults, every imperfection within my being, the ugliest thought, the biggest lie, the smallest truth behind any facade I have ever portrayed. He recognizes my true somber disposition even with every effort to display a luminous smile. He knows every broken moment I have experienced. More than anything He knows my unfaithfulness.

He knows my expectation of His total commitment to me despite my failure to display a full measure of reciprocation.

He knows my unbridled passion and the moments when the wrong things come out of my mouth because of those untamed emotions. Despite the disappointment and mistreatment and every offensive behavior, He loves me through it all. He’s patient with me, He forgives me, and He holds our relationship intimately as a treasured possession. When I neglect HiM and experience heartache from the distractions, He doesn’t hold it against me, He takes my heart, removes the pain and replaces it with the love from His own heart.

I trust HiM, I give HiM my heart, the good and the bad and because He has my heart, I will give HiM all of me forever, while I wait on him.
